Since its foundation in 1848, our company has constantly evolved: We have expanded our service portfolio to include new manufacturing competencies, accompanied technological progress and continued to optimise our products and services. What has never changed, however, are values such as trust, reliability and dedication, which still form the basis of all our entrepreneurial activities today. As a family business, we place great value on personal and respectful interaction. Both towards our partners and internally: a strong team culture is an integral part of our corporate philosophy.

Through short communication channels and fixed contact persons, we effectively implement the wishes of our partners. Our product quality, delivery performance and readiness for action are consistently high. An additional plus in terms of flexibility: we manufacture at two locations in Europe and, thanks to our central warehouse in Schmallenberg, Sauerland, we can deliver quickly and reliably throughout Europe. From prototype construction to (large-scale) series production, Humbach produces your components and supports you with individual packaging concepts and clever logistics solutions.

History of Humbach

1848

Founded as a blacksmith's shop

Joseph Humbach founds the blacksmith's shop in the Sauerland region that is the cornerstone of our company history spanning more than one and a half centuries.

1977

Foundation of the turning technology

Craftsmanship turns into entrepreneurship: we expand the original business, acquire lathes and specialise in the business area of turning technology.

1995

Relocation of the company headquarters to Finnentrop

A recognised automotive supplier becomes a multi-industrial solution provider. To be able to supply more customers in diverse industries, we are creating more capacity.

2011

New administration & central warehouse in Schmallenberg

With our own premises for administration and storage, we once again increase the efficiency of all company divisions and are still located in Schmallenberg, Sauerland.

2015

Start of production plant 1 Italy

The company continues to grow. To this end, we are once again creating new capacities and adding a plant in another European country to our production.

2020

Expansion of the management through Désirée Teppich

After working in the family business for several years, Désirée Teppich is leading Humbach into the next generation alongside her father.

2022

Start of production plant 2 Italy

To meet the increasing demand, we found Humbach Italia SRL. By commissioning another plant, we reliably expand our capabilities.
